Man arrested for knife threat in Waipahu

Advertiser Staff

Police yesterday arrested a 38-year-old man who allegedly threatened two people with a steak knife at a Pupuole Place apartment building in Waipahu.

A woman, 26, and boy, 17, told police they were awakened by the sound of the suspect repeatedly kicking a metal railing on the third floor of their building and were threatened with a steak knife by the man when they asked him to stop doing it.

Police were called and the man was arrested at 7:11 a.m. for two counts of first-degree terroristic threatening. The man arrested listed no local address at booking.

Charges were still pending tonight.
