Surf: East shores continuing to build today

Advertiser Staff

Surf is continuing to build along the east-facing shores on Oahu and is expected to reach 5 to 7 feet today, the National Weather Service said.

Elsewhere, expect surf of 1 to 3 feet along south-facing shores, and 2 feet or less along west- and north-facing shores.

Outlook through Wednesday, Aug. 13: Surf along east-facing shores will approach the high surf advisory threshold of 8 feet today and Saturday due to moderate to strong trade winds.

Some of that swell may wrap around to select north- and south-facing shores.

No other significant swells are expected.
