Kane'ohe's Dean Wilson shot 1-over-par 71 today and finished tied for 47th in the PGA Championship, the final major of the year, at Oakland Hills Country Club in Bloomfield Township, Mich.

Padraig Harrington shot a 66 to win his second consecutive major, finishing at 3-under 277 for the $1.35 million first prize. Wilson, a Castle High alum, was at 294 and earned $18,070.

Wilson and Honolulu's Parker McLachlin, Hawai'i's two players on the PGA Tour, have clinched berths in the FedExCup playoffs, which begin in two weeks at The Barclays in Paramus, N.J.

McLachlin, who became a first-time PGA winner last week at the Reno-Tahoe Open, missed the cut in the PGA Championship.
