Pearl Ridge man charged with sex assault

Prosecutors today charged a Pearl Ridge man with multiple counts of sex assault involving a teenage boy.

Frank Cornelis Lefrandt Jr., 47, of a Ka'amilo Street address, was charged with one count each of first-degree sex assault and attempted first-degree sex assault, and third-degree sex assault, according to prosecutors. He is being held overnight at the main police station cellblock in lieu of $100,000 bail pending an initial appearance tomorrow at District Court.

Police said the alleged assault occurred yesterday between 1 and 1:15 a.m. in a Leeward commercial area parking lot, Lefrandt was arrested at 98-145 Ka'onohi St. at 4:15 a.m.
