Nighttime fiber optic cable installation is continuing on Maui's Honoapi'ilani Highway in the area of the pali.

That means a single-lane closure in the Lahaina-bound direction, from the Olowalu Tunnel to the end of the pali from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. nightly through Thursday, according to the state Department of Transportation.

During the closures, traffic will be contraflowed through the area in the remaining open lane.
