A 32-year-old man has been charged with allegedly striking another man several times with a baseball bat during a fight early Saturday morning in Makiki.

Russell Collier Jr. is accused of two counts of second-degree assault with bail at $11,000.

Police arrested Collier while he was driving away from the fight scene on Spencer Street. The bat was allegedly in view on the back seat of Collier's vehicle. The victim, a 23-year-old man, drove himself to the hospital and was in good condition, police said.
