WAILEA
Floral & Fashion event aids Maui service agency

"East Meets West — Island Inspirations" is the theme of this year's Growing Dreams Floral & Fashion Extravaganza, a benefit for Maui Youth & Family Services Inc.

The event, featuring international floral designer Rene van Rems. will be held from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Aug. 23 at the Four Seasons Resort in Wailea.

Chico's, which recently opened a store in the Shops at Wailea, will be presenting the fashion show and donating a portion of sales to Maui Youth & Family Services. New features include a Floral Shoppe and a "rubber duckie pond" where guests can purchase a duck to receive a grab-bag.

Tickets are $125 and $145 for VIP seating and can be purchased online at www.myfs.org and going to the Growing Dreams page.

Maui Youth & Family Services offers a variety of services for adolescents and their families, including foster family programs, prevention programs and outpatient treatment for substance abuse and behavioral health treatment.
