HALE'IWA
A chance to recycle all those unwanted items

Waialua and Hale'iwa residents will have a chance to recycle and support the Waialua Community Association during an Aloha 'Aina Earth Day event set for 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Aug. 23 at Historic Hale'iwa Gym, 66-434 Kamehameha Highway.

Residents can drop off scrap metal, car parts, bicycles, refrigerators, air conditioners, newspapers, tires, beverage container, green waste, car batteries, usable clothing, household items, cell phones, printer cartridges, telephone books and computers.

Volunteers will also pick up items too big for a car or too heavy to lift.
