Advertiser Staff

An 'Aiea man charged with multiple counts of sex assault involving a teenage boy was indicted today by an O'ahu grand jury.

Frank Cornelis Lefrandt Jr., 47, of a Ka'amilo Street address, is accused of one count each of first-degree sex assault and attempted first-degree sex assault, and third-degree sex assault. Bail is $100,000.

Lefrandt delivers The Honolulu Advertiser as an independent contractor and is not an employee of the newspaper. The alleged attack occurred between 1 and 1:15 a.m. Sunday in West O'ahu. The victim, 13, who works for Lefrandt, had accompanied him to Kapolei to pick up Sunday newspapers for delivery, according to a police affidavit filed at District Court.
