Want inside intel on Honolulu's hippest bars and clubs? Got a date, but don't know where to go? Or maybe you're a die-hard foodie and need to be in the know about the latest and greatest restaurants around town?

Your needs have been served with The Honolulu Advertiser's launch of Metromix Honolulu (www.honolulu.metromix.com) a hip and up-to-the-minute guide to O'ahu's restaurant, bar, music and nightlife scene.

With guides, tips and information for socially active twenty- to thirtysomethings, Metromix Honolulu is a go-to site to find comprehensive event listings, restaurant and food reviews, the latest music news and inside looks at the hottest bars and clubs in Chinatown, Waikiki and beyond.

Want to know about the $5 mojito happy hour at thirtyninehotel, or the best things to order at Uncle Bo's Pupu Bar & Grill? Metromix has the scoop, with searchable listings for more than 1,000 restaurants, bars and clubs.

Each listing includes a description, hours, a map and other details.

Metromix also will help you plan your social calendar, by offering details about hundreds of ongoing and upcoming events — everything from club nights to street festivals to concerts and even the next mixed martial-arts fight.

"You won't be able to get this extensive coverage of local restaurants, bars, clubs, music and events anywhere else on the Web," said Diane Seo, managing producer of the site. "Any time you want to know what's going on, what to eat or where to hang out, we'll have lots of suggestions."

Features, photo galleries, event listings and reviews for Metromix Honolulu are produced by two staffers, freelance writers and photographers, and supplemented by The Advertiser's TGIF and Island Life sections.

Metromix Honolulu is the latest Metromix site to launch nationwide. Metromix is available in more than 20 cities, including Los Angeles, New York, Chicago, Denver and Detroit, and efforts are under way to expand. The Tribune and Gannett news organizations formed a joint venture last October to operate Metromix. Gannett is the parent corporation of The Advertiser.
