Jamie Foxx, who won an Oscar playing Ray Charles in "Ray," visited entertainer pal Eric Gilliom on Saturday night at the new Royal Lahaina resort at Ka'anapali. Gilliom and Hapa member Barry Flanagan play there monthly on Kama'aina Nights.

Foxx was just chilling, hanging loose, Flanagan reports.

The connection: Gilliom played a dude named Ricky in Foxx's comedy shows, circa 2001.

'HIGH SCHOOL' STAR GETS SUED FOR $5M

LOS ANGELES — A music producer is suing Vanessa Hudgens for $5 million, claiming the actress and her father have repeatedly violated a contract and failed to pay him his share of her earnings.

Music producer Johnny Vieira says in the lawsuit filed Monday that Hudgens, a star of Disney's successful "High School Musical" series, and her father sued to get out of an agreement she made with him when she was still a minor, but have failed to abide by the settlement terms.

Hudgens' alleged 2005 deal with Vieira was before she landed a starring role in "High School Musical," which will release its third installment later this year. Hudgens, 19, has also released a pair of solo albums.

'VIRGIN' ACTOR IN JAIL AFTER STABBING

SAN DIEGO — An actor who appeared in "The 40-Year-Old Virgin" as co-worker Haziz has been charged with attempted murder. Police said he stabbed his former girlfriend more than 20 times Sunday.

Shelley Malil, 43, remained in custody on $2 million bail. He was arrested late Monday as he left a train in Oceanside, the sheriff's department said.

According to her Facebook page, stabbing victim Kendra Beebe is a 35-year-old insurance broker with two children.

She was listed in critical condition Monday, according to the sheriff's department.

STROKE BLAMED FOR HAYES' DEATH

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Isaac Hayes apparently died of a stroke, the sheriff's department said yesterday.

The soul singer died Sunday after being found unconscious at his Memphis residence. No autopsy was performed, but paperwork filed by Hayes' family physician, Dr. David Kraus, lists the cause of death as a stroke, a sheriff's spokesman said yesterday.
