Traffic signals out near Costco in Gentry Waipio

Advertiser Staff

The bottom of a utility pole holding up traffic signals was severed during a traffic crash about 3:45 a.m. today along a stretch of west-bound Ka Uka Boulevard between Moaniani and Ukee streets in the Gentry Waipio area, police said.

As a result of the crash, traffic lights are out of service near the on- and off-ramps to the H-2 Freeway.

West-bound lanes of Ka Uka Boulevard are closed and traffic is being routed to Moaniani Street. Contra flow lanes set up on the east-bound side. West-bound traffic can continue back to Ka Uka Blvd from Ukee Street.

Police do not have a firm estimate on how long repairs will take but estimated that it will take most of the day.
