Barbara Bachman, wife of stabbing victim Todd Bachman, left Beijing via air ambulance to return to a hospital in the U.S., the U.S. Olympic Committee said.

All three of her daughters have also returned to the U.S., while son-in-law Hugh McCutcheon, head coach of the U.S. Olympic men's volleyball team, resumed his coaching duties today in Beijing. The U.S. beat China to remain undefeated at 4-0.

"We are indebted to the physicians and caregivers at Peking Union Medical College Hospital who have done such a wonderful job providing Barbara with the medical care she needed," McCutcheon said in a USOC statement. "The prayers and support have been a source of strength for our family during this difficult time."

Last week, Bachman's husband was stabbed to death by a man who then killed himself. Bachman herself received eight hours of surgery after suffering multiple lacerations and stab wounds.

The U.S. volleyball team has already qualified for the quarterfinals, which will be played Aug. 20.
