Keelen Obedoza connected on a tiebreaking two-run homer in the bottom of the fifth inning to lift Waipio to a 6-4 victory over Canyon Lake, Rapid City, S.D. today in the Little League World Series in Williamsport, Pa.

Waipio, which already had clinched a spot into the United State semifinals on Wednesay, went unbeaten in its three-team pool. Other teams in the pool were from Connecticut and Florida.

Waipio led 1-0, fell behind 3-1 before rallying for a 4-3 lead.

Waipio's semifinal opponent has yet to be determined. The winner of Wednesday's semifinal will advance to the U.S. championship on Saturday. The overall championship — between the U.S. champion and the international champion — will be played Sunday.

The Williamsport series, for 11- and 12-year-olds, is the oldest and most prestigious of the youth baseball World Series, with all games being televised by ESPN. That division was developing in 1939, held its first tournament in 1947 and received national TV coverage from as early as 1953.
