BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU

Hawai'i's Better Business Bureau has announced the election of its 2008-2009 board of directors and officers: chairman, Wayne Kirihara of Central Pacific Bank; first vice chair, Hoyt Zia of Hawaiian Airlines; second vice chair, Susan Ing of Bank of Hawaii; secretary, Phil Sammer of 'Ilima Hotel; treasurer, Thomas Dixon of First Hawaiian Bank.

New board members are: Dave Erdman, Jody Mukaigawa, Kathy Inkinen, Ed Shinoda and Dr. Chuck Steilen.

AMERICAN SAVINGS BANK

American Savings Bank recently announced a number of promotions.

Brian Desaki, Jerry Felipe, Avery Lam and Diane Fong have been named assistant vice president and branch managers. They will be responsible for all branch operations, both operational and sales. Desaki is at the Kapalama branch; Felipe at the University of Hawai'i-Manoa branch; Lam at the 'Aina Haina branch and Fong at the Wahiawa branch.

Yvonne Konia is now assistant vice president and manager of residential loan administration services, responsible for management of daily operations in the servicing of the bank's mortgage loans.

Alayna Hangai is now assistant vice president and manager of commercial and consumer loan administration services, responsible for overseeing commercial and consumer loan operations, servicing activities and ensuring compliance with applicable banking laws and regulations.

GIFT FOUNDATION OF HAWAII

The GIFT Foundation of Hawaii, a nonprofit volunteer organization dedicated to supporting charitable groups in Hawai'i, has elected the following officers and board members: president, Kenwei Chong of E&O Trading Co.; secretary, Sean Clark of Malulani Investments and treasurer, Jeffrey Dinsmore of MKC Management.

Elected to the board of directors were Jeff Arce, John Bower, Jon Bryan, Greg DickhenS, Dawn Dunbar, Stephanie Gambetta, Dean Hirata, Michelle Ho, Peter Ho, BJ Kobayashi, Erik Ludwick, Jon McManus, Brad Nicolai, Jason Nishikawa, Alana Pakkala, Lacey Pfeffer, Nate Smith, Marc Tilker and Molly Watanabe.

KONA BREWING CO.

Kona Brewing Co. has hired Jennifer Dunn as vice president of finance, responsible for all financial and accounting aspects of the firm's operations.
