Palolo man charged with threatening woman

A Palolo man was charged yesterday with first-degree terroristic threatening for allegedly threatening to kill a woman in Kailua.

Douglas Arnold Akeo Jr., 43, is being held in lieu of $100,000 bail. The woman, 44, was not injured.

The incident at Kihapai Street was reported to police at 9:25 p.m. Monday.

Akeo has 36 prior convictions. He was released pending investigation on three firearm-related offenses in connection with the threatening incident.
