Weather: Scattered showers today, tomorrow

A high pressure area north of the state will keep the trade winds blowing for the rest of the week, according to the National Weather Service forecast for Hawaii.

Clouds and showers carried by the trades will affect primarily the windward and mauka areas.

Here's a more detailed look at the next few days:

Today: Scattered showers, mainly before noon. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 86. East wind around 15 mph, with gusts as high as 20 mph. Chance of precipitation is 30%.

Tonight: Scattered showers. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 74. East wind around 14 mph. Chance of precipitation is 30%.

Thursday: Isolated showers. Partly cloudy, with a high near 87. East wind around 14 mph. Chance of precipitation is 20%.

Thursday Night: Scattered showers. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 74. East wind between 11 and 13 mph. Chance of precipitation is 30%.

Friday: Scattered showers, mainly after noon. Partly cloudy, with a high near 86. East wind around 15 mph, with gusts as high as 20 mph. Chance of precipitation is 30%.

Friday Night: Scattered showers. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 75. East wind around 14 mph. Chance of precipitation is 30%.
