Keep your cursors at the ready: Gannett newspapers across the U.S. have teamed up with Capitol Records to stream the new album by rock legend Brian Wilson.

The music from "That Lucky Old Sun" goes online tomorrow.

The Honolulu Advertiser and other select Gannett Web sites will have exclusive rights to the full album in its entirety from tomorrow through the music's release for sale on Sept. 2.

This is the first time a full album by a major-label artist will be streamed on our newspaper Web sites, according to Jim Lenahan, strategic development manager for Gannett.

Wilson and the Beach Boys have their old-school fans in Hawai'i, reaching back to the 1960s and his band's shout-outs to the Islands in hits like "Surfin' Safari." And rock-music enthusiasts of all ages appreciate Wilson's contribution to the genre: Wilson still holds considerable credibility as the musical mastermind behind the Beach Boys' seminal album "Pet Sounds" (recently ranked as the No. 2 album of all time in Rolling Stone magazine).

Go online beginning tomorrow at www.HonoluluAdvertiser.com for an audio player, more intel on Wilson and his new music and an opportunity to comment.

The audio player will include a link for users to pre-purchase the album on Amazon.
