Frank DeLima performs at Senior Fair on Aug. 30

Comedian Frank DeLima will headline entertainment at the Maui County Senior Fair, to be held 8 a.m. to noon Aug. 30 at the War Memorial Complex.

"E Hui Pu Kakou: Working Together for Strong, Healthy and Supportive Communities" is the theme for the 35th edition of the free event organized by Maui Economic Opportunity Inc. and sponsored by the county Office on Aging.

Activities include demonstrations, displays, health screenings and discussions on financial literacy and avoiding scams. Agencies that support kupuna and caregivers will be on hand to provide information, and senior clubs and other organizations will be selling chow fun, baked goods, jams, jellies, crafts, plants and other items.

Also at the fair, the "Five Wishes" kit, part of a national movement to provide seniors with a framework to help them make choices about quality-of-life issues, medical care and end-of-life concerns, will be distributed for free.

For more information, contact MEO at 249-2970 or the Office on Aging at 270-7755.
