Weather: Mostly sunny with a few showers today

A high pressure area will remain north of the state, fueling moderate trade winds and mostly sunny days throughout the weekend and into the new week, the National Weather Service said.

Scattered showers will affect primarily the windward and mauka areas, forecasters said.

Here's a more detailed look at the next few days:

Today: Isolated showers. Partly cloudy, with a high near 87. East wind between 11 and 15 mph, with gusts as high as 22 mph. Chance of precipitation is 20%.

Tonight: Scattered showers. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 72. East wind around 10 mph. Chance of precipitation is 30%. New rainfall amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch possible.

Sunday: Scattered showers, mainly before noon. Partly cloudy, with a high near 87. East wind around 11 mph. Chance of precipitation is 30%. New rainfall amounts of less than a tenth of an inch possible.

Sunday Night: Scattered showers. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 74. East wind around 10 mph. Chance of precipitation is 30%. New rainfall amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch possible.

Monday: Isolated showers. Partly cloudy, with a high near 86. East wind between 10 and 14 mph, with gusts as high as 20 mph. Chance of precipitation is 20%.

Monday Night: Scattered showers. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 74. East wind around 14 mph, with gusts as high as 20 mph. Chance of precipitation is 30%. New rainfall amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch possible.
