Associated Press

SOUTH WILLIAMSPORT, Pa.— Tsuyoki Setoguchi scored on a wild pitch in the bottom of the fifth inning to lead Tokyo to a 4-3 victory over Lake Charles, La., in the consolation game of the Little League World Series.

The game was tied at 3 after each team scored three runs in the first. Louisiana starter Peyton McLemore walked Setoguchi to start the fifth, before reliever Kennon Fontenot walked the next two hitters to load the bases.

Fontenot uncorked a wild pitch allowing Setoguchi to score the winning run for Japan.

Takumi Ozeki struck out seven in five-plus innings for the win, while Shodai Mizuno got the final two outs for the save.

Fontenot had a two-run single and Bryce Jordan added an RBI single for Louisiana.
