Prosecutors today charged an 18-year-old man with first-degree assault and two counts of second-degree assault.

Nicholas Kyle Nichols, also known as Nicholas R. Nichols, is being held overnight at the main police station cellblock in lieu of $50,000 bail pending an initial appearance tomorrow at District Court.

Nichols listed no permanent local address at his booking. He was arrested yesterday on the 2100 block of Makiki Heights Drive at 12:35 p.m.

The first-degree assault charge stems from a July 30 incident. The two alleged second-degree assaults occurred May 1 and last Dec. 3. Details about the cases were unavailable. The complainants are two men, ages 19 and 22.
