The Kailua High School Surfrider Band will hold a car wash Sunday to help members raise money for a trip to the Mainland next March.

The car wash will be from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Kailua Shell gas station at the main intersection of Kailua town at the corner of Kailua Road, Ku'ulei Road and Oneawa Street.

The band asks for donations of $7 for cars and $10 for SUVs, trucks and vans.

The 50-member band will travel to New York and Washington, D.C., during spring break next year.
