Case Western Reserve University, Cleveland, Ohio, faculty member; Harvard University lecturer; University of Hawai'i at Manoa, College of Education, director of Reading and Language Arts Center; and an author. Syracuse service held; scattering of ashes pending off Makena, Maui. Survived by husband, Herbert Baehr; sisters, Virginia Nemecek and Shirley Knickerbocker.
