Weather: Isolated showers expected today

Moderate trade winds over the main islands will diminish slightly through the weekend before picking up again next week, according to the National Weather Service forecast.

Windward showers will increase at least through Friday, forecasters said.

Here's a closer look at the rest of the work week:

Today: Isolated showers before noon. Partly cloudy, with a high near 87. East wind around 15 mph, with gusts as high as 18 mph. Chance of precipitation is 20%.

Tonight: Isolated showers. Partly cloudy, with a low around 73. East wind around 11 mph. Chance of precipitation is 20%.

Thursday: Isolated showers. Partly cloudy, with a high near 87. East wind between 11 and 15 mph, with gusts as high as 18 mph. Chance of precipitation is 20%.

Thursday Night: Scattered showers. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 73. East wind around 13 mph. Chance of precipitation is 30%.

Friday: Isolated showers. Partly cloudy, with a high near 87. East wind between 13 and 15 mph, with gusts as high as 18 mph. Chance of precipitation is 20%.

Friday Night: Scattered showers. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 73. East wind around 11 mph. Chance of precipitation is 30%.
