Alexander takes most of snaps; still game-time decision on UH QB

ATLANTA — While maintaining that the starting quarterback will be a game-time decision, University of Hawaii football coach Greg McMackin said that if the season -opener against Florida were to be played today, Greg Alexander would get the nod.

Alexander again took the majority of the snaps during today's two-hour practice at Georgia Tech's facility.

Brent Rausch, who was named the No. 1 quarterback two weeks ago, also practiced. But he received about half the snaps that Alexander did.

Rausch said after today's practice that he was "100 percent" recovered from a strain in his right (throwing) arm.

The Warriors have a final practice tomorrow morning and then will travel to Florida for the 6:30 a.m. (Hawaii time) game in Gainesville.

They will have a walk-through practice in The Swamp Friday afternoon.
