HALE KU'IKE

Jill Martinez has been appointed director of recreational activities at Hale Ku'ike. She will develop and oversee the activity program for residents according to their abilities, needs and interests. She was previously the activities director at The Plaza at Punchbowl.

Hale Ku'ike is a progressive memory care facility in Honolulu that offers Alzheimer's care and dementia care in a residential facility setting.

ISLAND INSURANCE CO.

Island Insurance Co. has named Michael Onofrietti vice president of Actuarial Services, Product Development & Management, responsible for developing techniques for pricing insurance products, analyzing lines of business portfolios as well as the development, management and implementation of new products.

Previously, Onofrietti was vice president and actuary, director of underwriting and product management, senior underwriting officer of AIG Hawaii Insurance Co.

ST. FRANCIS HEALTH AMBASSADORS-HAWAII

St. Francis Health Ambassadors-Hawaii, a community health education volunteer organization formed as an affiliate of St. Francis Healthcare System of Hawaii, has elected its first executive council of officers for a one-year term. They are:

President: Damien Navarro, administrator of the HMC Health Alliance; vice president: Jason Roberts, institutional specialist with Boehringer Ingelheim Pharmaceuticals, Inc.; treasurer: Margaret Kamahele, a former St. Francis nurse manager and charge nurse and current health care consultant; secretary: Kristi Medeiros, direct service specialist with Queen Liliuokalani Children's Center. Sister Agnelle Ching, chief executive officer of St. Francis Healthcare System of Hawaii, serves as an ex-officio member.

YOUNG BROTHERS/ HAWAIIAN TUG & BARGE

Young Brothers/Hawaiian Tug & Barge has promoted Dean Kapoi to vice president for human resources and labor relations. Kapoi joined the companies as a labor relations specialist. Later, he became Honolulu operations manager and took over responsibility for all cargo operations throughout the state. In 2006 he was promoted to manager of freight operations.

INTERNATIONAL COUNCIL OF SHOPPING CENTERS

The International Council of Shopping Centers has appointed William Brizee, a principal at Architects Hawaii, as co-chairman of Hawaii State Alliance for 2008-2009. He has been an active member of ICSC since 2000.

Brizee is responsible for assisting the association in educating both the public and private sector about ICSC's Alliance program.

KILAKILA EMPLOYER SERVICES

Clifford Jamile has been named chief executive officer at KilaKila Employer Services, responsible for planning, directing and coordinating all operational and financial activities as well as managing sales growth of the company's outsourced employee administration programs on all islands.

CB RICHARD ELLIS

CB Richard Ellis has announced the additions of Julia Matsuura to its brokerage services division and Mark Egan, Michelle McCain, Marc Higuchi, Russell Asamoto, LEVY OKTALIA, WESLEY BUSSER and Joan Larson to its asset services team.

Matsuura will serve as a client services specialist in the retail brokerage service division.

Egan, Higuchi and Larson are real estate managers in the asset services division. Egan and Higuchi work in Honolulu; Larson works in Kahului, Maui.

McCain is a real estate services coordinator in the asset services division.

Oktalia is a real estate service administrator in the asset services division.

Asamoto has been hired as a senior accountant, and Busser as an associate accountant, specializing in client accounting services for the asset services division.
