Advertiser Staff

Gerald Glennon was promoted to general manager of the Halekulani hotel effective Sept. 1.

Glennon, who joined the Halekulani as executive assistant manager in 2001, will replace Janis Clapoff, according to a news release from Halekulani Corp., which owns and manages both Halekulani and the Waikiki Parc Hotel. Glennon will be responsible for directing all aspects of day-to-day management and operations of the 455-room property.

"Gerald is a seven-year veteran of Halekulani, and in that time he has proven to be an extremely capable executive," said Peter Shaindlin, chief operating officer of Halekulani Corp.

"I am confident that Gerald will not only uphold, but further the Halekulani legacy. He truly embraces and embodies both the tradition and the culture for which Halekulani has come to be renown, and is steadfastly committed to consummate service standards and an unrivaled guest experience."
