What's so special about chamber music? Chamber Music Hawaii will give an explanation as it presents Chamber Music 101, a new musical event including conversation, music, wine and pupus.

Hawaii Public Radio's Joan Canfield will moderate and members of the Galliard String Quartet will provide musical samples and field questions.

The event takes place at 4 p.m. Sunday, at Studio 909 at the Musicians' Association of Hawaii, 949 Kapiolani Blvd.; $10 for adults, or free with purchase of an introductory package (includes tickets to the the first two concerts of the season).

Children are free.
