Kapolei Property gives $190,000 to area schools

Kapolei Property Development yesterday donated $190,000 to nine public schools in west O'ahu and on the Leeward Coast.

Of the total, $40,000 is earmarked for Kapolei High School's Ho'ola Leadership Academy, which uses Hawaiian cultural practices to help students reach academic success.

The remaining $150,000 was awarded to the following schools to support their technology needs: Kapolei High School, $30,000; Kapolei Middle School, $30,000; Kapolei Elementary School, $15,000; Barbers Point Elementary School, $15,000; Makakilo Elementary School, $15,000; Mauka Lani Elementary School, $15,000; Campbell High School, $10,000; Nanakuli High and Intermediate School, $10,000; and Wai'anae High School, $10,000.
