Average price of Hawaii gas drops another few pennies

The price of gasoline in Hawai'i continues to inch lower, falling to a statewide average of $4.39 for a gallon of regular, AAA reported today.

That's three cents lower than last Friday, AAA said in a news release.

In Honolulu, the average price fell to $4.28 a gallon, down four cents from last Friday.

"For the fifth week, prices have dropped again by just a few cents," said AAA Hawaii regional manager Richard Velazquez.

The average price in Hilo on the Big Island was $4.51, up two cents from last week. In Wailuku, Maui, the average was $4.67, down a penny.
