Free tai chi introduction for adults on Sept. 25

Pearl City Public Library will host Tai-Chi For Health, a free demonstration program on the benefits and movements of tai chi chuan, at 9:30 a.m. Sept. 25 in the Adult Reading Section.

Tai chi is an ancient Chinese discipline of meditative movements practiced as a system of exercises and characterized by its soft, slow and gentle form.

Conducting this program will be Christopher K. Eng, who has taught tai chi for more than 20 years.

This program is geared for senior citizens and other interested adults. Participants should wear comfortable clothing for this 45-minute session.

The library is at 1138 Waimano Home Road, next to the police station. For more information, call the library at 453-6566.
