Things to do around Oahu today

Advertiser Staff

There is absolutely no shortage of things to do around O'ahu today, whether you're a dog lover, need a laugh, a music enthusiast or just want to enjoy some culture.

For starters, the Okinawan Festival is taking place until 5 p.m. at Kapi'olani Park. Food, entertainment, keiki games and a bon dance are part of the free activities.

At 4 p.m., the Brothers Cazimero are performing at the Embassy Suites Waikiki Beach Walk on the Grand Lanai as part of the Na Mele No Na Pua signature concert series.

At 7 p.m, you can head to "Night at the Apollo with a Touch of Gold" at the Hawai'i Theatre. It's a benefit for the Shriners Hospital for Children in Honolulu. Tickets range for $40 to $65.

Need a laugh? Augie T's Wild Wild West Comedy Show, with Timmy Mattos, Jose Dynamite and Gerard Elmore takes place at Makaha Resort starting at 8 p.m. Tickets are $20.

Must love dogs? Then check out the Hawaiian Kennel Show this morning at the Blaisdell Exhibition Hall. Cost is $5.

And of course, if you want to enjoy the beach and take in a movie, food and fun, there's always Sunset on the Beach today in Waikiki. Tonight's movie is "Horton Hears a Who!"
