Utility work begins today on Farrington Highway across from the parking lot of Kahe Point Beach Park and will result in the closing of the right lane in the Wai'anae-bound direction.

The lane closure will be in effect from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. daily through Saturday, Hawaiian Electric Co. said in a news release.

Special duty police officers will provide traffic control.
