An 18-year-old man faces first-degree burglary charges after he broke into a Kalihi home and stole a gallon of milk.

Police said the incident happened about 12:05 a.m. today.

A 24-year-old woman in the home called police after the man left with the unopened carton of milk.

The man, and the empty carton, were found nearby.

Police said the man was under the influence of alcohol.
