A benefit for the Hawaii Foodbank will be held in the state Capitol basement auditorium on Friday.

The free event is open to the public.

Attendees are asked to bring a canned food item to the event.

The benefit, from 6 to 9 p.m., will feature entertainers Patrick Koh, The Krush, Tradewinds, Angeli Callo and others.
