Ne-Yo concert set for Jan. 5 at Blaisdell Arena

Honolulu, HI—Grammy Award Winner, Ne-Yo makes his first appearance in Hawaii at the Neil Blaisdell Arena for one night only on Monday, Jan. 5.

Soulful singer Ne-Yo has impressed audiences since 2006 with his multi-platinum, chart topping debut, "In My Own Words."

His chart-topping singles include "So Sick," "Because of You," "Closer," and from his new album "Year of the Gentleman" the smash new single "Miss Independent."

Ne-Yo is also well known for his songwriting, having penned songs for recording artists such as Rhianna, Beyonce, Mario, Celine Dion, Britney Spears, Janet Jackson, Mary J. Blige, Leona Lewis and Enrique Inglesias. He has also confirmed to be writing Michael Jackson's new album alongside producer will.i.am.

Ne-Yo has also acted in feature films such as "Save The Last Dance 2", "Stomp The Yard Two" and the upcoming movie "Venice Beach" for which he is also writing the soundtrack.

Ne-Yo will open the New Year with a smashing performance at 7:30 p.m. Jan. 5 at the Blaisdell Arena.
