Maui motorists can expect alternating single-lane closures nightly on Kahului Beach Road in both directions between Mile Point 1 and Mile Point 0, the state Department of Transportation said.

The closures are scheduled from 9 p.m. to 5:30 a.m. through Friday for pavement resurfacing.

During these closures, traffic will be contraflowed through the area in the remaining open lanes.
