Recycling drive to benefit Koko Head Elementary

Advertiser Staff

The Friends of Koko Head Elementary School will conduct a HI-5 recycling drive from 7-10 a.m. Friday, Dec. 5.

Anyone who wants to participate is asked to pull into the school's driveway for curb-side unloading of their HI-5s. The Friends of Koko Head will assist with the unloading.

Koko Head Elementary has conducted its HI-5 recycling drive with much success over the past four years.

Thanks to the enthusiastic participation on behalf of Hawaii Kai residents, the Friends of Koko Head has used the proceeds generated by the drive to fund Hawaiiana instruction, a physical education instructor, and music and voice activities. Without the community's continued support, the students would have little exposure to this high-quality instruction.

For more information call the school at 397-5811.
