Hawaii flags to fly at half staff on Sunday for 'Pearl Harbor Remembrance Day'

Advertiser Staff

Gov. Linda Lingle has proclaimed Sunday as "Pearl Harbor Remembrance Day" in Hawai'i, and has ordered the Hawai'i state flag to be displayed at half-staff from sunrise to sunset.

The governor's action is in conjunction with President Bush's proclamation urging federal agencies and interested organizations, groups and individuals to fly the United States flag at half-staff in honor of those who died as a result of their service at Pearl Harbor.
