Two men drowned on the Big Island today after being swept into the ocean by a large wave, the Hawai'i County Fire Department reported.

Rescue crews found the men floating face down in the water off the shoreline about 250 yards off Kapoho Lighthouse at about noon. A helicopter was used to recover the bodies of the two men, who were not identified.
