Let holiday lights festivities begin — and parades, too

Honolulu City Lights launches in a massive way from 4 p.m. today at Honolulu Hale. It's all free, too.

Also on the holiday radar are the community parades, including:

  • The Mililani Christmas Parade, from 9 a.m. today, running from the Town Center of Mililani to Lanikuhana Avenue, Meheula Parkway, Kuahelani Street, Moenamanu Street and Kipapa Drive, and finishing at Mililani Shopping Center.

  • The Kane'ohe Christmas Parade, from 9 a.m. today, going from Windward Mall at Ha'iku Road to Kamehameha Highway and Kane'ohe Bay Drive, and ending at Castle High School.

  • The Pearl City Shopping Center Christmas Parade, from 4 p.m. tomorrow, runs from Momilani Elementary School to Ho'oki'eki'e Street, Ho'omoana Street, Ho'olaule'a Street, ending at Pearl City Shopping Center.
