Woman arrested in Chinatown after allegedly hitting a police patrol car and trying to flee

A 26-year-old woman was arrested last night after allegedly backing her car into a police patrol vehicle, then fleeing the scene.

Police said the woman hit the parked patrol car near the intersection of Bethel and Pauahi streets about 11:10 p.m.

The woman then allegedly tried to drive away. When she found herself in a dead end, police said, the woman tried to flee by foot.

The woman was arrested for reckless driving, fleeing the scene of an accident, driving under the influence and driving without a license.

An officer inside the patrol car that was hit was uninjured.
