Eighteen Hawai'i runners competed at Saturday's Foot Locker West Regional Cross Country Championships in Walnut, Calif. All race distances were 5 kilometers.

Three-time state champion Bryce Jenkins of Leilehua finished 34th in the boys seeded race with a time of 16 minutes, 33 seconds. This year's state runner-up, Matthew Nakamoto of Hawai'i Baptist, finished 106th in the 160-runner field in 17:31.

In the girls seeded race, Mililani's Kristin Ali Keith, last year's state champion, was 62nd in 20:37. Bailey Massenburg of King Kekaulike, this year's state champion, was 72nd in the 92-runner field in 20:55.

In the senior girls race, Leilehua's Savannah Lowrie finished 55th out of 146 runners in 22:36. Teammates Charli Talon was 98th in 24:54 and Morgan Cowper was 131st in 28:04.

In the senior boys race, Campbell's Christian Putegnat was 29th in the 237-runner field in 17:26 and teammate Daniel Gomez was 77th in 18:20. Shannon Cosey of Leilehua was 78th in 18:22, followed by teammates Noel Cabato (124th, 19:13), Jayson Dumaoal (161st, 19:45) and Cody Dela Cuesta (217th, 22:32). Castle's Brysen Calkins was 172nd in 19:59.

In the junior boys race, Castle's Eric Pak finished 81st out of 255 runners in 18:23 and teammate Dylan Lee was 125th in 18:58. Leilehua's Evan Igarashi was 151st in 19:27 and teammate Michael Chambers finished 209th in 21:21.
