Surf: 8 to 12 feet expected on North Shore today

Advertiser Staff

Surf along the north-facing shores of Oahu is expected to reach 8 to 12 feet today, the National Weather Service said.

Elsewhere on Oahu, look for surf of 4 to 8 feet along west-facing shores and 1 to 3 feet along east- and south-facing shores.

Outlook through Monday, Dec. 15: The current northwest swell will gradually subside Wednesday and Thursday. A moderate northwest swell will build Thursday night, peak on Friday, and decline on Saturday and Sunday. Increasing southerly winds will bring choppy short-period surf to south facing shores on Thursday. No other significant swells are expected.
