Surf: 4 to 6 feet on north-facing shores today

Advertiser Staff

Surf along north-facing shores of Oahu is expected to drop to about 4 to 6 feet today, the National Weather Service said.

Elsewhere, look for surf of 2 to 4 feet along west-facing shores; 1 to 3 feet along east-facing shores; and 3 to 5 feet along south-facing shores.

Outlook through Tuesday, Dec. 16: The current north-northwest swell will gradually subside through this morning. Another northwest swell will arrive tonight and build rapidly, peak on Friday just below advisory levels of 15 feet, then gradually subside through the beginning of next week.

Increasing southerly winds will bring choppy short period surf to south facing shores today and Friday.
