Makalei Golf Club on the Big Island will host a Susan G. Komen Golf For The Cure tournament Feb. 21 and 22. The benefit for breast cancer research is open to female amateur golfers of all ages. Entry forms are available, with an entry deadline of Feb. 10.

Format for the tournament is a 36-hole women's individual stroke play, with two flights based on handicap. Players must provide a current USGA GHIN Handicap Index to participate in the event. The low gross score in A flight will determine the overall tournament champion.

The entry fee for the Susan G. Komen Golf For The Cure is $155 and includes the two tournament rounds, daily tee prizes, Saturday lunch, Saturday night Players' Party, and the Awards Luncheon. A portion of the proceeds will benefit Susan G. Komen For The Cure, a global leader in the fight against breast cancer for the past 20 years.

Makalei Golf Club is an 18-hole championship course overlooking the Kona-Kohala Coast from the lower slopes of Hualalai. It has received a four-star designation in the 2008/2009 rankings of Golf Digest's "Best Places to Play."

For information, call Nicki Deetz, Golf Sales Manager, at 808-325-6625, e-mail MakaleiSales@hawaiiantel.net or download an entry form online at www.makalei.com.
