Surf to drop today on Oahu's north, west shores

Surf along the north-facing shores of Oahu will be 9 to 14 feet this morning before dropping a bit, to 7 to 10 feet, later today, the National Weather Service said.

Surf along west-facing shores will start out at 6 to 9 feet, then lower to 5 to 7 feet later today, according to the surf forecast.

Elsewhere on Oahu, expect surf of 2 to 4 feet along east- and south-facing shores.

Outlook through Friday, Dec 19: The current northwest swell will continue to slowly lower into early next week. No other significant swells are expected.
