St. Andrew hosts 'Blue Christmas'

 •  Vatican forbids fertility aid

The Cathedral Church of Saint Andrew will host "Blue Christmas: A Service of Reflection for the Longest Night," 5:30 p.m. at the church, 229 Queen Emma Square.

The service includes music, silent meditation and prayer for those who are lonely or are experiencing inner turmoil at Christmastime.

LIVE NATIVITY AT CENTRAL UNION

Central Union Church will hold its annual Live Christmas Nativity Scene Drive-Thru from 5 to 9 p.m. today at the church, 1660 S. Beretania (enter off Beretania).

A Christmas tradition for more than 20 years, the nativity features live animals and people re-enacting the Christmas story.

'FOLLIES' FEATURES SINGER AND PIANIST

The next Hongwanji Follies of the Hongwanji Hawaii Betsuin will feature the Rev. Richard Tennes as vocalist, and Francis Okano as pianist.

The program, at 8:30 a.m. Dec. 21, will take place at 1727 Pali Highway in the temple's social hall.
