The American Red Cross emergency shelter opened last night at Queen Liliuokalani Church in Hale'iwa has now been closed and all evacuees have returned to their homes.

The shelter, however, remains on alert status and ready for immediate activation should weather conditions deteriorate.

Residents who are still in need of emergency shelter due to flooding and high winds can go to: Wai'anae District Park or Brigham Young University gymnasium in Kahuku.
